Yes they can.  However, turn-around time and/or quality may be affected.  Why are adobe files not the preferred source document type?  The answer is they are typically "graphic" or "picture" based files.  To have compliant filings with the SEC, all text should be readable as text.  "Pictures" are not text-readable, and therefore have to pass through an additional process to convert from "picture" to "text" before they can be edgarized.  Therefore, it is always preferable to submit your SEC filings to an edgarizer in Microsoft Word and/or Excel format, which is typically the source file from which a pdf file was created in the first place.  If that is not possible (for example, if the document originated from outside your firm) then the pdf file can be worked with to convert to the appropriate text-based SEC compliant document.

Some clients have asked if the PowerPoint Presentation used by their CEO in a shareholders/investors meeting can be edgarized and filed with the SEC on EDGAR.  The answer is yes!  Typically the presentation is submitted as an exhibit 99.1 to a Form 8-K.

How long does it take to edgarize a PowerPoint Presentation, and how much will it cost?  Here at Southridge, we have standard and straight-forward pricing.  All Forms 8-K are a flat-rate $50 for the first ten pages.  Additional pages thereafter are only $10 per page.  So a 30-page PowerPoint file would be only $350.  A typical PowerPoint file can typically be converted in less than two hours.

An important thing to remember is that the converted PowerPoint file is "SEC Compliant," meaning all text is converted as text (not pictures or images) that is readable and recognizable as text.

In summary:  Yes!  You can publish your investor presentations very quickly at a great price, and know it is fully compliant with SEC/EDGAR reporting requirements.

Just send your PowerPoint file to us:  info@sec-report-filing.com.
